Jamie, Veterinary Assistant

Hi, I’m Jamison or Jamie, a Veterinary Assistant at Gettysburg Animal Hospital since 2024, currently training to become a Veterinary Technician.  I started my journey in animal care at Bel Air Veterinary Hospital, where I gained valuable hands-on experience and developed a deep commitment to helping animals live healthier, happier lives.  I share my home with my German Shepherd, Kylo, and two cats, Nago and Nova.  Originally from Bel Air Maryland, I moved to Gettysburg to enjoy a slower pace of life, perfect for cozying up with a good book during a rainstorm.  I’m excited to continue growing in the veterinary field and to be part of a team that shares my passion for compassionate, quality care.

Hope, Veterinary Assistant

Hope is a dedicated veterinary assistant who has been a part of our team since 2024.  Her passion for animals is evident in her own diverse collection of pets, which includes multiple cats, five reptiles, and two dogs Navi, a German Shepherd, and Rosko, a Yorkie Mix.  Inspired by her mother, who is also part of our team, Hope knew from a young age that she wanted to pursue a career in animal care.  Outside of work, Hope enjoys playing lacrosse, listening to music, spending quality time with friends and family, and exploring the outdoors.  Committed to advancing her skills, she aspires to further her career by becoming a certified veterinary technician.

Heavin, Veterinary Assistant

Heavin grew up with a variety of animals from horses and cows to cats and dogs to hamsters and lizards.  She’s always dreamed of becoming a Veterinary Technician since she was knee high.  Heavin joined our team in July of 2024.  Before joining our practice she was a kennel tech at Opossum Pike and then as a technician/assistant at Animal Care Clinic.  She currently has 3 dogs:  Athena, her Cane Corso, Kurt, her Great Dane; Gizmo, her German Shepherd mix(pictured with me) who was attacked by another dog and took 3 months to recover, and finally her cat Cedar who is quite the character.  Heavin is planning on furthering her education with our support.
