Heart Health for Dogs and Cats

Just like humans, heart health is important to dogs and cats. Your pet might be born with a heart defect or develop a heart condition during his/her lifetime. Breed plays a part in cardiac health. We diagnose and treat a variety of heart conditions. Our veterinarians believe that dogs and cats with heart disease can live long, happy lives. Our services include diagnosis and management of all types of cardiovascular problems including congenital and acquired heart diseases, arrhythmias, congestive heart failure and much, more.

Examples of cardiac conditions evaluated and treated:

  • Evaluation of murmurs
  • Cough/labored breathing evaluation

  • Diagnosis and management of cardiomyopathies

There are some clinical signs of cardiac problems in your dog or cat, such as:

  • Weight loss
  • Coughing or labored breathing
  • Fluid in the lungs and/or abdomen
  • Exercise intolerance
  • Fainting
